Happy Ostara!
Only yesterday, we got more snow and even though it still very much *looks* like winter, it starts to feel like snow. I took a walk through the freshly fallen snow and the mild air was filled with the sounds of birds singing and water dropping out of the trees as the snow was melting. Sadly, the snow is still extremely deep after the several heavy snowstorms we have had this year.
I finally got around to editing these photos of the incredibly strong aurora we had about 2 weeks ago. I only had a few minutes to take photos since it was so cloudy that day, but I am so happy with how they turned out.
[AD] The days are getting so long now and every new snow that falls and every coldspell that comes feels like it might be the last of the season and they feel almost insignificant compared to the warm temperatures ahead.

Currently we are experiencing a warm period that can only be part of "fool's spring". It is so gorgeous and sunny outside and I feel mild winds of spring softly on my cheeks whenever I go out. It is gorgeous and such a mood booster, but even though the surface of the snow starts melting, we are still weeks if not months away from a spring that comes to stay. Next week more cold temperatures are forecasted with up to - 20°C and I am sure I will enjoy some of the last ice-cold days of the season.
I had the most magical encounters yesterday and today, with first some of the strongest northern lights I had ever seen yesterday and moose visiting us this morning. Currently we are living so many magical encounters and I am so thrilled and in awe about every single one of them! 🤍 I will share footage as soon as I can load everything from my camera to my computer and I can't wait to show you everything!
The most incredible thing happened when I was looking out the window filming this.
One year has passed since the devastating news of Russias war on Ukraine began and the darkness that came that day has continued for a year.
