As some of you may have noticed, I have a little shed in my garden. It offers quite a lot of room for different stuff and was until now mainly used to have a place for different planting pots and the lawn mower. In the shed stood old cupboards and shelves that looked like they had been added one by one at different times and everything was held together by an incredible amount of nails in all sizes!
Needless to say, it was a mess and a waist of space. So reorganizing the shed was one of the several things I would really like to do on my property and house and it was something that I felt I knew how to do and also could afford doing without investing incredible amounts of money and time.

Tom helped me taking eveything out of the shed and pulling every single nail out of the wall even though it seemed at the beginning like there was no end to them! We took everything to the outside together and loaded some of it on a wagon we borrowed from Tom’s sister. Sadly it was the week Tom’s car was broken and since I had never driven with a wagon, I didn’t want to try that so shortly before traveling the long way to Germany and decided against bringing the stuff away then. I had planned to take it to the trash disposal after coming back, but as I mentioned before we have the kindest neighbors, who offered not only to get Tom’s car while we were away, but also to take away what was on the wagon. This was a huge help for us and we are so thankful and glad to have such amazing people live so close to us ❤
When we were in Sundsvall to say goodbye to Maria I bought one system of matching shelves that stretch from the left side of the shed all up to the back wall and along the back wall and filled it with transparent boxes in different sizes. With this I hope to have a bit more unity in the shed which makes it look more tidy, while the transparent boxes allow me to find everything at first glance without having to open lids to check what’s where.
Even though we have put a lot more stuff in the shed now, as you can see there is still plenty of room in the shelves for more boxes and I am really happy about how it turned out! More room in the shed means we can move more things from the house to the shed and that means more room in the house! 🙂 I am really excited about that and look forward to moving more stuff out soon!
