The last few days have been a rush but now I finally feel like I am somewhat done and am sitting in front of a cozy fire writing this.

First of all I want to wish a very happy new year to everyone who I didn’t write it personally too. All of those who I have been speaking with in the last few days, I can just repeat my wishes, I am hoping this year all of your dreams will come true and you will reach all the goals you are setting for yourselves! ❤

Now let’s get to why I have become so bad at replying to all of your lovely messages!

I emptied box after box, sorted stuff away, took care of things and emptied more boxes – all of which while being sick. I have had a cold since before christmas, but I couldn’t stand the thought of missing my last week of work in Germany because of a cold, so I went to work then. After that came the christmas days with lots of family time and only few minutes of being by myself and having calm moments and right after christmas I started my journey up north. So no time to rest – on the conrary, one of the most stressful times this past year. So now I am taking things more slowly and try to do only one thing at a time.

Right after my arrival, the house looked like this:

the living room
my kitchen
the bathroom
my computer/desk room
and lastly the bedroom

And now you know, why I haven’t replied so much to your private messages! I had to get rid of the chaos!!!

In my previous post I wrote about going to Sundsvall and get some important things done there and hoping for some calmer days. My father and I only took a short while „off“ however and went for a walk outside and explore the area a little bit. We went on a beautiful path to Grossjön, which is one of the 2 lakes around the area here. Graningesjön and Grossjön.

Can you spot the (frozen) lake?

New years eve I spent with my father just watching a movie and continuing to empty boxes. But now this house looks truly like my home. I made some pictures in the process, but the final result is not quite there yet, because even though all boxes are empty now, there is still a bit of a mess in some corners.

After finishing the unboxing all boxes yesterday (pictures have yet to be taken), today I went to skatteverket in Solleftea, to apply for getting a swedish personal number. It is the one thing you need at any time when you want to have a contract. You need it to get a mobile phone number, you need it for a bank account, insurance etc… I think you get what I mean. This number is super important!

In 1-3 weeks I will recieve a letter from skatteverket if I applied successfully and will get that number or not. I am really hoping for it!

Tomorrow I will finally stay at home for once. A friend and her boyfriend will come visit me and stay overnight on their journey from the south of Sweden to the north and I am really looking forward to that! 🙂

She recommended an app to me to see a northern lights forecast and according to that app, there will be some aurora visible here in the very early morning hours of the 4th of january. I am excited to see if that will happen and will surely set my alarm clock so I don’t miss it! 🙂 I hope I will keep you updated a litte bit more reliably in the future and I hope all of you had a wonderful start into the new year! ❤

doesn’t the frosty snow look beautiful?
